About / Finsys AI Lab™

We Are an AI-First Microsoft Partner

We don’t add AI on top of your business systems. We embed it inside them — in your ERP, your finance processes, your supply chain, your marketing, and your operations — so that artificial intelligence becomes the engine of how your business runs, not a feature your team occasionally uses.

What “AI-First” Actually Means

Every technology consultancy is talking about AI. Most of them mean one of two things: a Copilot licence bolted onto an existing deployment, or a pilot project running in isolation from the systems that actually run the business. Neither delivers the transformative outcomes that AI is genuinely capable of.

At Finsys Apps, AI-first means something specific and demanding. It means that when we design and implement a Dynamics 365 solution, the question we ask at every step is not “should we add AI here?” but “what is the best AI can do here, and how do we build the system so that it does exactly that from day one?” It means that Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI, AI Builder, Claude, and Power Automate are not afterthoughts applied post go-live — they are part of the architecture from the first design session.

The result is business systems that do not just store and report your data — they act on it. They draft your communications, reconcile your accounts, optimise your production schedules, score your leads, flag your risks, and surface your opportunities. Automatically. Continuously. Without your team having to ask.

AI-First in Practice — A Real Outcome

A UK professional services company came to Finsys Apps running a month-end close process that consumed five full days of their finance team’s time every month. Manual journal entries, spreadsheet-based reconciliations, and disconnected approval workflows meant the finance director had no reliable view of the business’s financial position until well into the following month.

We implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with AI embedded throughout — Copilot-assisted bank reconciliation, AI Builder-driven invoice processing, and automated intercompany eliminations running on Power Automate flows designed within our Finsys AI Lab & Delivery Framework™. We didn’t just implement an ERP system. We redesigned how their finance function operates, with AI doing the work that had previously consumed their most qualified people.

Month-end close now takes one day. The finance director has a live view of the business’s financial position every morning. And the finance team spend their time on analysis and decision support — the work that actually requires human judgement — rather than reconciliation and data entry.

This is what AI-first looks like in practice. Not a chatbot. Not a dashboard. A fundamental change in how a business operates — delivered through intelligent system design, not technology for its own sake.

The Finsys AI Stack — What We Actually Deploy

We work across the full spectrum of enterprise AI technology — not as a reseller, but as an implementation partner that configures, integrates, and embeds these capabilities directly into the business systems your organisation depends on every day.

Microsoft Copilot — Embedded Throughout Dynamics 365

Finance professional using Copilot AI in Dynamics 365Microsoft Copilot is not a separate product — it is woven into every module of Dynamics 365 that Finsys Apps implements. In Business Central it reconciles bank transactions, explains account variances, drafts payment reminders, and generates cash flow commentary. In Sales it summarises meetings and emails, drafts follow-ups, and surfaces deals at risk. In Customer Service it drafts case responses and recommends resolutions. In Supply Chain it flags shortage risks and suggests procurement actions.

The difference between a Copilot deployment that transforms a business and one that gets ignored within three months is configuration. Copilot only delivers value when the data it draws from is structured correctly, the prompts it uses are aligned to your specific workflows, and the outputs it produces are integrated into the processes your team actually follows. That is the work Finsys Apps does — and it is why our AI-first implementations deliver outcomes that generic deployments do not.

  • Copilot for Finance — bank reconciliation, variance analysis, cash flow commentary, payment processing
  • Copilot for Sales — meeting summaries, email drafting, deal risk alerts, next-best-action
  • Copilot for Customer Service — case response drafting, resolution recommendations, sentiment analysis
  • Copilot for Supply Chain — demand signal analysis, shortage alerts, procurement recommendations
  • Copilot for HR — job description drafting, performance commentary, workforce analytics summaries

Azure OpenAI — Custom AI Built on Your Data

Developer building Azure OpenAI integrationMicrosoft Copilot works from Microsoft’s data. Azure OpenAI works from yours. When an organisation needs AI capabilities that draw on proprietary data — their own product knowledge base, historical contract terms, customer interaction records, engineering documentation, or internal processes — the right architecture is Azure OpenAI Service, deployed on Microsoft’s secure cloud infrastructure and connected to your Dynamics 365 environment through our integration layer.

Finsys Apps designs and implements Azure OpenAI solutions that are trained on your specific business data, governed by your security and compliance policies, and integrated directly with the Dynamics 365 modules and e-commerce platforms your teams use every day. The result is AI that understands your business — not just AI in general.

  • Custom AI models trained on your product, customer, and operational data
  • Intelligent document processing — contracts, invoices, specs, and technical documents
  • Natural language interfaces to your Dynamics 365 data — ask questions, get answers
  • AI-powered customer-facing agents for e-commerce and service platforms
  • Enterprise-grade security — your data never leaves your Azure tenant

AI Builder & Power Automate — Intelligent Process Automation

Operations team reviewing automated workflow resultsPower Automate provides the automation layer that connects your systems, and AI Builder provides the intelligence that makes that automation genuinely smart. Together, they eliminate the manual steps that sit between your business processes — the email that needs to be read and acted on, the invoice that needs to be coded, the form that needs to be approved, the report that needs to be generated and distributed.

Finsys Apps designs automation architectures that go well beyond simple workflow triggers. AI Builder’s document processing models read and extract data from unstructured documents — purchase invoices, delivery notes, contracts, expense receipts — and route that data directly into Dynamics 365 without human intervention. Prediction models assess credit risk, flag anomalies in financial data, prioritise service queues, and score sales opportunities based on historical patterns in your own data.

  • AI document processing — purchase invoices, delivery notes, and contracts read and coded automatically
  • Prediction models built on your historical data — risk scoring, anomaly detection, demand forecasting
  • End-to-end process automation connecting Dynamics 365, e-commerce platforms, and third-party systems
  • Approval workflow automation — escalations, notifications, and audit trails without manual routing
  • Scheduled intelligence — automated reports, alerts, and summaries delivered to the right people at the right time

Claude & AI Agent Integrations — The Next Frontier

Technology team deploying AI agent integrationsThe most powerful AI deployments don’t just respond to instructions — they act autonomously on your behalf. AI agents connected to your Dynamics 365 environment can monitor your business data continuously, identify conditions that require action, make decisions within defined parameters, and execute those decisions without waiting for a human to initiate the process.

Finsys Apps integrates Claude and other leading AI agents directly into Dynamics 365 and e-commerce platforms, creating systems that operate with a level of autonomy that fundamentally changes the ratio of what your business can accomplish relative to the size of your team. A customer service agent that resolves straightforward cases without human involvement. A procurement agent that raises purchase orders when stock reaches reorder thresholds. A finance agent that identifies and flags intercompany discrepancies the moment they arise. These are not theoretical capabilities — they are deployments Finsys Apps is delivering to clients today.

  • Autonomous customer service agents integrated with Dynamics 365 Customer Service
  • Procurement agents monitoring inventory and executing purchase orders within policy
  • Finance agents running continuous reconciliation and anomaly detection
  • E-commerce agents handling product queries, order status, and returns autonomously
  • Marketing agents personalising content and campaign targeting based on live customer data

The Finsys AI Lab™

The Finsys AI Lab™ is the engine behind our AI-first delivery model. It is where we research, test, and industrialise AI capabilities before deploying them in client environments — ensuring that what we implement is proven, stable, and genuinely fit for enterprise use rather than experimental.

Our AI Lab operates a structured evaluation process for every new AI capability we consider deploying — assessing accuracy, reliability, security, compliance, and business impact before any client engagement. The Finsys AI Lab & Delivery Framework™ then provides the implementation methodology that governs how AI capabilities are designed into client solutions — ensuring they are configured correctly, adopted effectively, and measured rigorously from go-live.

This is what makes our AI-first implementations different from AI pilots that never scale. We don’t experiment on your business. We bring proven capability and a disciplined delivery framework — and we measure ourselves against the business outcomes we committed to, not the features we deployed.

  • Structured evaluation of every AI capability before client deployment
  • AI Lab & Delivery Framework™ governing design, configuration, and adoption
  • Outcome-based measurement — we track business results, not feature adoption
  • Continuous capability development — AI moves fast, and so do we

“I started Finsys Apps because I believed businesses deserved better — better implementations, better support, and better outcomes from their technology investment. The AI-first approach is the most significant expression of that commitment. We are not adding AI to what we do. AI is what we do.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. In many cases significant AI capability can be added to an existing Dynamics 365 environment without a full reimplementation. Microsoft Copilot can be enabled across existing Business Central, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance deployments with the right licensing. Power Automate flows and AI Builder models can be built on top of existing data. Azure OpenAI integrations can connect to your current environment via API. Finsys Apps will assess your current deployment and identify the AI capabilities that can be added immediately, those that require configuration changes, and those that would need a more significant investment to deliver — so you can make an informed decision about where to start.
Data security is the first question we address in every AI engagement. Microsoft Copilot operates within your existing Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365 security boundary — it does not use your data to train Microsoft’s AI models, and it does not expose your data to other organisations. Azure OpenAI Service is deployed within your own Azure tenant, meaning your proprietary data never leaves your controlled environment. For AI agent integrations using Claude or other models, we architect the data flows to ensure that only the minimum necessary information is passed to external AI services, and we implement appropriate data governance controls throughout. Finsys Apps will produce a data flow and security architecture document for every AI engagement before any configuration begins.
We agree the success metrics before any work begins — and we track them rigorously throughout and after the engagement. Common metrics include reduction in manual processing hours, reduction in error rates, improvement in forecast accuracy, reduction in days to close, and improvement in customer response times. These are converted to financial value using your actual cost base, so the ROI calculation is specific to your organisation rather than based on industry averages. Finsys Apps provides a post-implementation review at 90 days and again at 12 months to measure actual outcomes against commitments.
Not necessarily — but data quality matters, and we will tell you honestly if yours presents a risk to the outcomes you are targeting. Part of our AI-first implementation methodology is a data readiness assessment that evaluates the quality, completeness, and structure of the data that your AI capabilities will rely on. Where gaps exist, we address them as part of the implementation rather than discovering them post go-live. In some cases, a data remediation phase is the right first step. We would rather tell you that upfront than deliver an AI deployment that underperforms because the underlying data was not ready.
The right starting point is a 60-minute AI readiness consultation with one of our senior consultants. We will review your current technology estate, understand the business processes where you believe AI could have the greatest impact, and give you an honest assessment of what is achievable, what it would take to achieve it, and what outcomes you should expect. There is no charge for this consultation and no obligation to proceed. Book using the button below.
