AI-Enabled Leadership Programme: Graduate ERP Technical Consultant

Northallerton (hybrid)  |  Full-time, permanent  |  £32,000 – £35,000 + up to 5% bonus + funded Microsoft certifications

The Opportunity

We are offering an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious graduate to join Finsys Apps on a structured, accelerated journey to becoming an AI-Enabled Technical Leader in ERP development and architecture.

This is the technical, IT-facing pathway of our graduate programme. You will work alongside our senior developers and architects on live client projects — extending Business Central, building integrations, and developing Power Platform solutions — and will take ownership of increasingly complex technical deliverables as your expertise grows. In time, this role is designed to lead you towards running our development function, shaping the technical architecture of our solutions, and heading up our Finsys AI Lab™.

Technical Development

Build and extend Business Central using AL and Power Platform.

Finsys AI Lab™

Apply AI and Copilot to automate, enhance and lead the technical frontier.

Funded Certifications

Microsoft, Azure, AI, and project management qualifications fully funded.

What You Will Do

From day one you will be embedded in real technical delivery. Over the course of the programme your responsibilities will grow to include:

  • Developing extensions and customisations for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL
  • Building integrations between Business Central and third-party systems (Shopify, Sana Commerce, Continia, Tasklet WMS, Yavrio, and others)
  • Designing and developing Power Platform solutions — Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Power Pages, and custom connectors
  • Working with APIs, web services, and Azure services including Logic Apps and Functions
  • Building Power BI datasets, semantic models, and dashboards for client reporting
  • Applying AI and Copilot capabilities through our Finsys AI Lab & Delivery Framework™ to automate testing, generate code, and enhance client solutions
  • Supporting data migration, cutover, and post go-live technical issues
  • Progressing towards owning technical architecture decisions and leading development workstreams

What We Offer

This package is designed to deliver real value well beyond the base salary — and to build a certification portfolio that will serve your career for decades:

  • £32,000 – £35,000 base salary, reviewed annually against performance and progression
  • Performance bonus from 5% in year one, scaling to 20–25% as you grow into senior and lead roles
  • Fully funded Microsoft certification pathway — including Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate, Power Platform Developer Associate, Azure Fundamentals and Developer certifications, and AI-900/AI-102. Each Microsoft exam typically costs £150–£200 plus study materials; your full certification portfolio is covered in its entirety
  • PRINCE2 or APM project management qualification — funded
  • £2,000 relocation package for candidates moving to the area
  • Gym membership — fully covered
  • £300 birthday payment — paid on your birthday, every year
  • Real technical responsibility from your first year — you will be writing production AL code and building live client integrations, not working through sandbox exercises for two years
  • Structured mentoring from senior developers and architects with deep Microsoft and integration expertise
  • Hybrid working from our Northallerton office with a flexible schedule

Microsoft-certified Dynamics 365 Business Central developers are in short supply across the UK. A developer with two or three years of AL experience and a full Azure and Power Platform certification stack commands a market rate of £50,000–£70,000+. This programme is designed to get you there — and give you the client experience and architectural exposure that accelerates that trajectory faster than any other entry route into the Microsoft ecosystem.
